A Girl Playing Football??
Lots of my friends and family think it's weird, but I think it's simply awesome. You may say that football is a boys sport, but I think that anyone could play. It all started when I was at my brother's football practice and my Dad and I decided to go for a walk around the field. While we were walking we bumped into my brother's former coach. He asked me why I wasn't on the cheer leading team. I answered, "I'm not the cheerleader type". Then he said, "Why don't you join the football team?" I said, "No way!" Afterwards, he convinced me to try it out. So, the rest is history. I'm glad I did, even when my team mates tease me (not mentioning any names). If you are a girl and if you want to play...just go for it! You won't regret it!

Knights Touchdown
What a beautiful play! See for yourself. Just in case you cant see. That was a touchdown. Go knights woohoo.

Highlights of the Carp Fair
We walked and we walked and then we walked some more. It was a great day. Here is a couple of the things we saw:
Pretty silly looking vegetables, heh?
My feet were killing me by the end of the day, so I decided to take a rest. I remember the long route marches we took at basic training in Chilliwack - they told us to put our feet up so that the blood would drain and prevent swelling. I don't know if it really works, but it sure feels good.

Mud Pies
Did you know that the Kanata Knights practice rain or shine. This is what it looks like when it's raining. I have put their uniforms through the wash twice and the second time was with bleach. I just wonder if the mud stains will come off. If not...it's ok, because I can always blame it on coach Gord.

Hello, it's Andrew. The picture on the right is of the tyke Knights Defence lining up(in blue). I am number 48 lining up in a aggressive stance. Unfortunately we lost against the wolverines 6-18.But we amazingly have the 3RD best Defence in the League. If you live in the Kanata area I suggest you join the knights. Its a EXTREMELY good way to have fun running laps and doing up-downs and push ups. You also make tonnes of good memory's and friends. http://www.kanataknightsfootball.com isthe official web site.
One of the bad things is the fourth quarter. It is the hardest part of practice. We usually do a play then a lap then a play then a lap and so on. Sometimes its actually fun though like when we play Borden ball(a less complicated form of football). Other times we play British bulldog except we tackle instead of touching each other. Sometimes we're lucky and we don't have fourth quarter!!!!!!! But there's always those times where we have to do the ladder AAAAHHHHHH!!!! I'll explain what the ladder is. Okay the first player goes and drops to the ground then the next person jumps over him and then drops to the ground and so on. After the last person drops to the ground the person at the end of the ladder gets up and goes to the front of the line and so on till we have crossed the field. During that period of time we usually fall on top of each other over and over again.

After a few more stunts my Dad put a band aid on Adventure Bears arm. If you notice the hinges connected to the shaft are broken that is the doing of mini hinges. The bigger the better. Oh and I'll try to stay on subject more. I have to wander off subject every once in a while. If you notice in the back round there are trucks. That is because of the construction of a gas station boo hoo. The reason I'm wandering off subject so much is because I can't think of anything to write about. I know that the only thing i wrote about Adventure Bear is really boring (ZZZ).

The end of an Era....or should I say Error!
Although Andrew and I were glad to see it go, Steve was quite upset. How does one say good-bye to something that has meant so much and has brought so many fond memories. Let's just say it was forced upon him. You see, the infamous chair was kept in Andrew's already too small bedroom. Not only did it take up much needed space but it also clashed with the decorating theme. How does a green easy chair fit into Air Force blue and WWII airplane wallpaper? Secretively, I think that Steve was upset that Andrew had chosen an Air Force theme over an Army theme that's why he insisted that the chair remain. Again Air Force superiority has over-ruled. Do you think I'm wrong with this thinking? Some would argue that a piece of furniture from as far back as university days was kept to keep the owner young. Or perhaps it was that ever-so-heard of line: "I'm not going to let having children change me. Things will remain the same". But let's face it, we all have to grow up some time and having children requires many sacrifices. You may leave a comment of condolences to Steve or you might like to break it to him gently (not what I chose to do) and let him know that life goes on and he can survive without the chair.

Adventure Bear!
A few years ago my Dad went to Toronto on business for two weeks. He came back with Adventure Bear. I lost him for a month or so but I eventually found him. That's when we started taking a series of funny pictures with Adventure Bear as the star. My favorite stunt was when we put him under a mitre saw. Another favorite was freezing him in a plastic cup(right). For a school project I made a catapult. A few weeks after the project I loaded Adventure Bear into the catapult. I lauched him but he was too heavy so he didn't go flying.
